Hello—Kumusta—Hallo!

Hello—Kumusta—Hallo!

“Yvette the Threat” is a nickname given to me by Christopher Andrews—I’d like to think the reason changes daily.

Hello, I’m Yvette Reitner (she/her). I’m a Graphic Designer by trade, with a BDES from OCAD. I started my career in print production, where I learned to respect the process from start to finish. That role evolved into a Graphic Designer/Art Director role, where I worked on brands like Xbox Canada, Captain Morgan, 3M and Walmart. After all of that, I took on the position of Creative Director at The&Partnership in January 2020.

On TELUS, I’ve overseen art for the past 7+ years—including the brand refresh. I’ve worked on TELUS Mobility and Masterbrand along the way—winning their first ever Cannes Lion for #EndBullying. Purolator, Sapporo, The Wall Street Journal and Toronto Public Health have also kept me busy, but more recently I have taken on Canada Post. I’m lucky to mentor a group of talented Art Directors and Writers of various backgrounds and experience—something that I take a lot of pride in. I’ve been recognized by the ADCCs, Epica, Cannes Lions, the Marketing Awards and the CMA’s—but who’s counting!

In January 2023 I took on my biggest role to date: I became a mom. Yes, I said it, you can be a mom in advertising. This role has not only taught me the meaning of patience and nurturing environments, it’s also reminded me to simply play.

With 17+ years, it feels like I’m just getting started. Say hello at y.reitner@gmail.com or find me on LinkedIn.
